The Executive Committee

We have a team who are elected annually to run the Chamber and help members get the most from their membership. They regularly attend official meetings and consultations in and around the area, representing local businesses and ensuring their needs are kept at the forefront of the agenda.

Matthew Allen

President

Matthew is a Chartered Accountant and business adviser of James Rose Accountants. They help business owners understand their numbers, plan ahead and make confident decisions. His drive and enthusiasm towards business will be a great asset to the Chamber.

Sue Todd

Secretary

Having been in publishing for over 25 years Sue is the Sales Director of her own business dealing mainly with Local Authority Publishing. Sue took over the role as Secretary for Crowborough Chamber of Commerce in 2022, providing a prime opportunity to get more involved in the local community and help the Chamber and local businesses to continue to grow and thrive.

Gordon Philips

Treasurer

Gordon moved to Crowborough with his family in 1986 and has been Treasurer since the Chamber's inception in 2011.

He is now retired having previously worked as a for 44 years as retail branch manager with HSBC.

Gordon Mankelow

Executive Committee

Gordon is a Zoho Consultant and Authorised partner, helping clients Implement, Customise, Integrate and Develop Zoho Apps.

He has been a member of the Chamber since 2018.

Carolyn Markham

Executive Committee

Carolyn is a freelance Marketing Consultant and runs North Star Creative Marketing. She offers creative design skills for website development, branding & all marketing collateral both on and offline.

She has been a member of the Chamber since 2022.

Steve Pearce

Executive Committee

Steve has been in the Construction Industry for almost 50 years, his company Diamond Interior Contracts carry out internal and external refurbishment works to all manner of properties, covering all trades.

Jeff Thomas

Executive Committee

Jeff is a retired Town Planning Consultant with over 40 years of experience in local
government and private practice.

Jeff has been a member of the Chamber since 2012 dealing with many planning issues on its behalf including submitting comments on planning applications and on local development plans.

Vanessa Errington

Executive Committee

Vanessa is now retired and living in Crowborough after spending the past 25 years as an expatriate, building a successful chiropractic businesses alongside her husband. Having lived in the USA, Spain, and Singapore, she brings a wealth of experience and insight into the entrepreneurial journey.
